Back to Basics – Core Estate Planning
In this presentation, participants will be introduced to the essential elements of creating a comprehensive estate plan. Participants will better understand the importance of establishing wills and trusts to ensure the proper disposition of assets, designating durable powers of attorney for healthcare and financial matters, and how to plan for incapacity. Additionally, you will realize the significance of correct titling, beneficiary designations, and joint ownership. A case study will help to illustrate how all of these concepts work together. The goal of the presentation is for participants, especially next generation professionals, to gain skills to confidently discuss core estate planning concepts with their current and future clients, and to comfortably work with their clients’ other advisory team members.
